Trips to Palau Semakau Landfill
Found in Palau SemakauToday, at morning, as usual lesson, the class ends eariler as we have to go to the lecture room for "Civil Defence" and the speaker talks about Emergency Procedures etc.The speaker sometimes serious and funny at the time.It really made forget my worries.Haha. They give the Emergency handbook.. We have to report to the Foyer at 12.30 but our time is like 11.45 a.m earlier. When we walked to the Foyer and saw how the Civil Defence activities work out like putting out the fire etc in assembly area.. At the Foyer, there were pop songs and the students play drums and sing and so on..It's really nice:)
At 12.30 p.m. we gather together and go to Marina area..We go to Palau Semakau by boat..It was so exicitng and I enjoyed sitting in the deck, really look kind of hotel, but of course, it's not a real hotel and there's tv in the deck.. I looked outside and enjoyed at the sea. It totally facinated me! The boat kept bobbing up and down quite rough..I drew up the curtain and sleep peacefully since I'm tired. When reach the place, it's not like Singapore.. The place's really seem like China, India, Africa and Australia..It's very interesting place..I like the place so much that is very peacful and beautiful.. The instructer talks about like REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE and also about the National Environment Agency as well as Incinerator.. After the briefing through the presentation, we went to the mini-bus and took us to the place where trash take place..Whoa,I cant believe my eyes by looking at this. The female instructer speaks so many wonderful things.. I was drawn to her interesting story,As the bus went by,I noticed a large bird and the bird saw us and flew away with huge wings and saw beautiful sea,fishes tec.I was so amazed by that.After all the session's over, I'm so happy to visit such a wonderful place..I wished to visit the place again..We go back to Singapore by boat.When I sleep in the boat, my mind was so full of the most wonderful places.. I love it so much!XD It was so excited for me!!!

Besides the walks and birding activities, sport fishing is another activity you can do in Pulau Semakau. It's quite a worth while activity since I was told that black-tipped sharks were seen swimming in the lagoon and LARGE groupers were actually caught in these.. As well as there's barbecue etc.. and alot.:)
